Odense is less than 1.5 hours from Copenhagen and the largest city on the Island of Funen. You can take the train from Copenhagen Central Station or you can drive by car across the Great Belt Bridge (Storebæltsbroen) from Zealand to Fyn. Trains run from all over Denmark’s mainland (Jutland) to Odense and you can drive from Jutland too. Exploring on foot, provides me to open my eyes to various hidden treasures that you would have not have seen otherwise and seeing the sights by walking from one place to the next. So, if you have a day off for a relaxed easy walk without a busy schedule for sightseeing this is the post for you. I always stumble upon small shops, stores, and unexpected treasures of the city that I would have never seen. And these are exactly the small things that make a city special and beautiful… at the time of my visit to this city I was at the very end of the second trimester of pregnancy, and I really like to spend the day at such a slow pace. This beautiful first picture that follows, was taken at sunset from train at the voyage from Copenhagen to Odense from The Great Belt Bridge, an 18km long suspension bridge linking eastern & western Denmark, with a railway tunnel.
